Is this what I think it is?

My brother-in-law told me he found a dated brick (Apr 32) from an old home place on my property. Initially, we thought is was a dated brick used in the building of the chimney of the house. But upon further inspection, this brick is nothing like the ones in the chimney. It was found about 30 feet from the house, along an old field road on the interior of my property. Could this be a footstone from a grave? This property was my great-grandfather's, who was a sharecropper. No one in the family knows of any graves on the property. My grandmother (his daughter) never mentioned any gravesites in the area. What are your thoughts?

Is it a brick or is it cast concrete? It is possible that it is a foot stone. Showing the deceased's three initials and the year of passing.

It is cast, but doesn't appear to be concrete. Looks like a trowel was used to cut the letters and numbers into it.
