I only have a couple pictures of this buck from this year, neither much good for guessing age. But I had pictures last year that I think may be the same buck.

yea or nay - same deer? And if so, age guesses?

I don't know. The 2020 buck has bullhorn upturn on his main beams. 2019 buck does not. I know antlers change year to year but the general characteristics like that carry over year after year. I'm not above being wrong, just stating what I've personally seen.

They have a lot of the same characteristics - very well could be the same deer. Definite 2.5 in last year's pics. This year's pics look 3.5, but better pics would confirm that.

Something to consider.......We had a complete acorn crop failure in 2018 where we are - a complete failure. If you had the same thing in your area, that could have had something to do with his inferior rack last year in 2019. In correlation, if you had a good acorn crop last year, it would have allowed him to "bounce back".
