Well like a lot of you I planted my plot the 1st of sept. Without any rain they did not come up! I was up at the farm this past weekend, checked the plots and found that the clover and rape were starting to come up. My question is will it have time to amount to anything?

I tell you what.... 2 yrs in a row! I know the deer will stay on my place if the dang plants would grow! hahah....

I can't remember ever having to wait this long for fall plots to grow. We've had dry years before, but one rain since Sept. 1? Ouch...

Hopefully we will get a sprinkle of two this week... 20-30% chance.... and it stays warm a little longer... if not i have some nice dirt plots for them!

10-day computer weather models don't look good.

I got about 2 inlast week over a couple days...suppose to get some end of this week. I hope it will be enough to get some growth in next 3 weeks or so. Seems like all front are blowing apart about 40 mi west. Land is in butler co ky

All of ours are at least mostly up after the last 1.84 inches we received last week. I fertilized today since the ground is still damp and i cant wait any longer since we couldnt get to it last month when we planted. Hopefully we will get some rain soon but i am not counting on it. I killed a doe last thursday and she was full of acorns, muscadines and some small black berries like you see on wild privet or something like that. now that the acorns are falling i am not too worried about the plots. the weather is cool enough at night and mild enougn in day to keep the wheat going until we can get some more rain...........me thinks.

Models look a little better for rain Thursday.

And although their forecasts are not very accurate, Accuweather keeps showing several days of sustained rain the last week of October in their 15-day forecast. I sure hope so. That would be awesome going into the opening of MZ.

I second that! i need ot put some miracle grow on mine though... The DER is only in the 1st leaf development of germination... A long way to go!
