As you can tell by my post name what I do for a living. We are about to change our duty carry weapon to a new Sig 229 with a new trigger. Currently we carry a Sig 229 .40 cal with a DAK trigger that is ok. We have the option to buy the gun for around $400. This gun shoots good but is as heavy as a brick. My question is do I buy it because I carried it or do I save the money n buy the Glock 21 I have been wanting. Any input either good or bad will be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a very personal decision. Personally, I have the G22 with TWRA engraved on the slide that my dad carried. I'm glad he decided to keep it.

I agree, you can always pick up a Glock, they are a dime a dozen, and it didn't protect and serve you and your community like your Sig did.

X2 get it while you can, when it's gone you'll likely never have the opportunity again.

Pick up for the Glock later, the 21 is an awesome shooter

Keep the Sig. Everybody needs a good heavy gun for the times you need to pistol-whip somebody. It is hard to give a good pistol-whippin with a glock. :rotf:
