Or is anybody else having a hard time getting really motivated this season with temperatures so dang high? They ain't anybody that gets jack up on bow season as much as me but I just really don't care for my clothes to be soaking wet in the middle of October.

I don't get jacked up until MZ season. Well, Juvi is going to be cool taking my daughter for the first time. We're both pretty jazzed about that.

As the years have passed I don't even raise an eyebrow at this stuff until it starts getting near the first part of November. IMO bowhunting is a perfectly good way to screw up an opportunity to kill a mature buck rather then waiting until when he actually will travel during daylight hours.

I could care less about killing deer anymore, unless it's a mature buck of pretty serious stature I would rather not deal with the hassle of killing them.

Getting soft I guess in my old age.

The primary reason I no longer bow hunt.

I hate to admit it but this warm weather has definitely put a damper on me. Ive spent a grand total of 3 hours in a stand since the opener!! I have got to the point if its not watching my Boys or my Dad kill one, im not really interested unless its a GOOD buck! And with this warm weather I haven't had the motivation to spend the time finding a good one to bow kill as of yet! Oh well hopefully November is god weather!!

:D I've been 3 times so far, but only to my "lesser" areas, that is, where I predominantly just see does and smaller bucks. I leave my "rut" areas alone till ML and rifle. ;)

I don't even want to walk to the mailbox in this heat. I'm darned sure not going to sit in the tick infested woods. Hunting and cold weather go together like pancakes and syrup. Even if gun season were open, I'd still not be out there yet.

Come on 1st frost - how long are we going to have to wait?!

Not just you buddy.....this is the least amount of time I've spent in the woods during bowseason that i can remember. Its cooling off now so its..........on. :)

I scheduled my vacation for the next 3 weeks but with such chappy weather I decided to move it and not start it til the first sat of November. Maybe it might cool off enough to see my breath in the mornings.

By this time last year, I had killed four or five. I have been three times this year for a total of 4.5 hours and one kill. I did pass up deer one afternoon. And, I was out of town for a week. But I just have not had the urge. Probably going to hit it pretty hard next twodays, though. Bucks are beginning to move here. Saw two cross the road on the way to town this morning.

I've never passed up deer from the dread of having to deal with them like I have this year. Only plus side to this year is with the deer not moving til right at dark I get to stay home longer in the afternoons to sword fight and gun fight with my son before hitting the woods a couple hrs before dark. That's if I can fight enough urge to go.
