or does it seem like ammo and some gun parts have gotten either a more expensive or harder to find here lately. I have been putting together a couple AR-15 lowers and it seems everywhere I normally order parts from have either went up or sold out. Same with ammo I ordered 4,000 rds of 5.56 about 5 or 6 yrs ago for less than $1,000 and have been shooting and reloading on that brass every since, I was looking at ordering another 1,000 or so and some places are wanting almost $400 or more per 1,000 rds.

Actually ammo prices of come down from what they was.Walmart has 500rnd ammo cans of lake city 62gr FMJ for $159 each. Not a bad price..

708 check out www.wideners.com in Johnson City they have IMI 62gr. M855 for $379./1200 or Lake City M855 for $346./1000. I've been trying to get an AR flattop M4 for a build, finally got one from Stag Arms, lots of AR stuff on backoder.

thats a good price, but I have never seen Lake City 62 grainers for sale at any Walmart in this area.

Things MUST be bad when WalMart is helping Preppers with decent ammo deals.......

Grafs sent me an email advising an expected shortage of all hand loading components just like 2008 because all of the symptoms are the same. Higher than usual demand, factories already running 24x7 and cannot keep up, no let up in demand. When you consider the unemployment rate today versus 2008, it looks ominous.

My take: get your components now, stock up, hunker down, waste not want not. Another Forum had members from all over US reporting jammed crowds at Gun shows buying without bickering on anything AR, handguns, anything semi auto, ammo.

That IMI ammo is the BEST 5.56 ammo out there and it's the best price you will find for ammo that good.

+1 Them Israeli's know how to make some ammo. I bought a few thousand rounds back when it was 129.00 @ 1000 back in the early 90's.
