Missing it this year! Just started getting into last year. Its pretty awesome, and keeps you in the woods for that month after deer season until early spring fishing. The price hike could be the prime fur prices starting to roll into the buyers, raising the prices.

With fur prices down the guys I usually go with to film and help aint doing it, jus did a little last year, but fur is going back up gradually!

I just enjoy it. I have a few live traps out close to the house and I love seeing how the same possums and coons end up in them every night! :D I want to get into learning some taxidermy so I figured this would also be a good way to get started on the small, full body stuff cats/yotes/foxes etc.

Prices are lowest in years and it just is not worth it to drive anywhere. Still set a few coyote traps last week... caught 3 ... 3 days in a row. Still like it very much but I only have few out close to the house now. I kept my fur in the freezer from last year and did not sell it in hopes that the prices would go up.

I haven't trapped in years but I'm seeing quite a few otters in the creek near my house and had full intentions on laying a few sets. Unfortunetly all this rain is makeing it pretty much impossible to do any trapping. Water flucuates entirely to much right now.
