Well, I was waiting for a technical explanation of why this was supposedly happening and it seems to make sense. I have never had a problem with mine, but I don't want their to be a first-time. I have changed a couple of mine out with the x-mark and they feel extremely good. I guess I will work on changing the rest out. Expensive proposition, but I don't want any safety issues. I had always heard that most of the problems with these tiggers were related to people trying to "adjust" them and not knowing what they were doing, and I believe this to be part of the issue. However, if the evidence in your link is true I will not use the original trigger in the future.
 
That kinda confused me. If your trigger has the grooves in the front of it, its one of the faulty triggers?

My trigger has the grooves but it's supposed to be Post-82.

I think all the remington rifle triggers until the X-Mark and X-Mark Pro were grooved on the trigger blade where you put your finger. The X-Marks are smooth on the trigger blade. Any factory Remington rifle trigger that's grooved has a connector according to the article.

It is very frustrating that I can't comment on this other than to urge you to include remington700.tv to your reading in addition to the posted link.
 
I thought it interesting how many people were non believers about this problem when this came up for discussion on here a month or so ago. Mine is a pre 82 and it did go off inadvertantly as I closed the bolt while hunting last year. I had no idea this was an issue with these guns until I saw it on the CNBC program. I for one am glad I did see that program (no matter what there intentions were) as I sent it off and had the safety modified.
