Interesting article. I usually see a couple bobcats a year on our farm. I wonder if these researchers will be able to identify a specific enzyme in the cats gut that is destroying the prions.
 
Interesting article.........he lost me at this quote "Chase also pointed to other studies showing mountain lions tend to select CWD-infected mule deer over healthy prey. " Lions don't run around examining deer to kill. Apex kills/eats first available. Prove me wrong.
MOST predators will kill the easy prey. A sick animal is the easiest prey. That doesn't mean they don't kill anything they can get their teeth on, but the easiest go the fastest.
