Well I enjoy the 2 or 3 times a year I actually see a bobcat. Seams they may be just a little helpful. I don't shoot the bobcats and tell anyone hunting with me " don't shoot the cats".

My guess is there are wheels turning on isolating the compound and figuring out a way to create an antidote or vaccine. All the doom and gloom worrying while mother nature had the answer all along. Hopefully the smart lab coats can get it figured out and start putting this nonsense behind us.

Interesting article. I usually see a couple bobcats a year on our farm. I wonder if these researchers will be able to identify a specific enzyme in the cats gut that is destroying the prions.

Doubtful. It appears animals that eat a 100% meat diet are the ones with the enzyme.

MOST predators will kill the easy prey. A sick animal is the easiest prey. That doesn't mean they don't kill anything they can get their teeth on, but the easiest go the fastest.

Right, at least they know what they are working with. I would be really interested in any study on how they go about isolating and identifying a specific enzyme that is having this action on the prions.
