I have access to a farm pond drawing quite a few geese and a few ducks...I am gonna give it awhirl, just because. Here are the problems:

  • Banks, clean as a whistle. Nowhere to hide.
Deep water, no dog to retrieve
    No goose decoys

If this were to work, I imagine I might get one volley and that is it. How would you approach it?

You can always build a brush blind near the edge. As far as retrieving the birds, may sound silly, but it works. Get a rod and reel with a heavy plug on it. Cast over the bird and reel it over it til you snag it. The geese have been using it for some reason without deks so you sholud be ok for those but calling any more in, good luck!
