During the week, accidents occur most frequently on days that have the most drivers on the road at dawn or dusk,
Seriously the point about the time change is something I had never considered, because there can be more traffic on the roads at dusk or just after than if the time didn't change.

A very interesting article. What it does not discuss is how people are injured. With a low to the ground car a deer can actually go through the windshield. I've also read that some people die each year from moose collisions in Maine because they are dark and hard to see at night as well as being tall with skinny legs. So when run "into" a moose you actually run under it and the up to 1000 pound moose tips over and fall directly on your windshield.
