installing a screw in choke ???

i got a 20 inch smooth bore slug barrel for my 11-87 remington. since i will never use it for slugs i was thinking about having a screw in choke system installed in it so i could use it come turkey season. is this a good or bad ideal ? do ya'll think it would pattern the same as any screw in choke barrel ?

It's going to cost around $200 + shipping to have threads cut in it. Patterning wouldn't be a concern at all.

As plentiful as choked barrels are, I'd buy a new one.

Had this guy do an 870 for me, couldn't be happier. Cut barrel, installed tube, installed new front bead, and back-bored barrel cheaper than I could find what I wanted.
