Personally it's all I wear. Have no complaints other than the Ridge Reaper gloves aren't that warm. Love the bibs and coat for late season and light weight jacket and pants for early season. Thanks y'all :pop:
 
That's all I wear also. Been addicted to their cloths since 2003. I have the top and bottom Ridge reaper, Ayton, and Gun Powder lines. Also the original base layer and 3.0 and 4,0. All have their perks for different temps but none of the above (except original thin base layer) can you walk in or you'll burn up. Their Gun Powder line is the most unbelievable thing I've ever felt. Also have their HOG boots, 3 different lines of gloves, neck gator, and balaclava. Sounds like an addiction but it's worth every penny. If I ever loose or gain weight I'm screwed.
 
I agree. It's worth every penny! I've been looking at there boots but not sure since there somewhat new to boots. I have a pair of Irish Shetters and love em.

I use it for my base layers and love it, throw a wool sweater over it and a micro-tex top and I can sit in the stand all day.
 
I like the thin gloves they make.

Their base layers 3.0 and 4.0 are great, but Cabela's makes identical stuff for $20 less.

I love their hoodies, but I don't usually wear them deer hunting, just duck hunting
 
i was very skeptical plus i'm a big tight wad on letting go of money. I finally broke down and bought the base layers and i'm sold on them. outer layers though i still wear wool.

I have no reason to try their outer wear, the stuff I have works fine.

Neck gator I thought about buying but reviews on Basspro.com say it's to small and hard to go over your head. That true?
 
Don't know. Mine is the old one the made back when they first came out with their camo line and don't make it anymore. I bought it in like 2003. It's the same thinner material as their basic thin base layer.

I would chose my cold gear long underwear top & bottom as my top gear as "can't do without." Bought them 12 years ago and have had them ever since and I am very rough on clothes and equipment, so I would say worth every dime. They do fit very tight so some people especially hefty folks don't like that feel.
 
My MIL got me some base layers. Just the 2.0s. that is the only UA stuff i own, but I will never buy another brand of base layer again. I will also probably invest in some clothing in the future.
 
Poleaxe, how warm is the Ayton gear? We're thinking of getting some for my wife who will primarily be bow and muzzleloader hunting. We gets cold easily. We have merino wool midweigt baselayers for her. Needing a good shell

Ayton is about their middle of their line. It has a heavier inner shell than the ridge reaper. And a plus side to the ayton is the bottoms come in bibs so you can carry them in and not burn up wearing them in. Now if it's in the 20's or teens don't test it out on her and blame me when she's sitting there shivering. Lol.
 
Most people do not realize it but UA is Lifetime Warranty. Their warranty is so good that if you gain weight and can't wear your old stuff anymore, you can turn it in and they will give you credit towards something else. Everyone in my family wears UA shoes a d clothes. My kids school back packs are all UA. Every yr my girls want a new back pack. We just turn theirs back packs in to UA and they pick out the new one they want on their site. Some times it will cost me like $10 for the new one and then some times they send it and no cost at all on our part. Hard to beat customer service like that.
 
I started out with artic zone pants and jacket and they have served me well. This last year my wife got me all UA stuff and I must say it is nicer but the Artic zone brand kept me warmer. I also think the sent control works a lot better on the artic zone clothing. I know this because when I take my coat and pants off after a hunt I can smell the rush of stink that has been trapped in. With the UA coat and pants I can smell myself while sitting in the tree..
