Input... Blood/dressed deer spook other deer?

I think deer have a curiosity of gut piles and blood trails. I have tons of pictures of gut piles and deer generally aren't spooked by them.

I don't know for sure. What I have seen though is that the neighbors dogs love the gut piles. That will mess up my next hunt. So I take my deer to a place that is out of my way and dress them there. Then they can have at it.

I personally have never seen either blood trails or gut piles spook a deer. I can see how an excess amount of human scent at the site could do so. But on many occassions, I have seen deer and other animals actually attracted to dead animals.

I gut every deer I kill where they fall. I have never seenit spook another deer and infact, on a couple occasions, have kuilled a second deer fromt he same stand, within a few yards of a fresh gut pile.

Bottom line, I don't worry about it.

It doesn't bother them a bit. Killed deer in the evening, gutted em where they fell, went back the next morning and killed another one standing beside the gut pile.
