Sorry if this has been discussed, I didn't know how to search. I shoot a Browning A-bolt 270 with Hornady Superformance 140gr SST. It groups really well. I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I could pick some up, or recommendations on a new cartridge that is easier to find? I know it's a crapshoot. But any help will be appreciated!

Shows in stock, but the order want go through, Says new orders are out to 1-2 weeks.
Ammoseek gave me the other link, it says in stock too, but a much higher price. Ammo has been quite scarce lately so my suggestion is to look for in-stock ammo and get what you can.

just looked up reviews of the site, looks like it may be a bit shady. Unless you have a sure means to reverse charges I would steer clear.

Scam site according to what I read elsewhere.

I saw eldx loaded ammo for 270 not too long back, but don't remember where. May have been Cabela's or midway. They are a 145 grain round. I have gone exclusively to the eldx in my handloads for hunting for 270, 308, and 6.5.

Yea, that is why I waved him off.
I currently have been reloading grand slams, but honestly I have not had a bullet fail me yet. I can't normally tell you how fast, or if it mushrooms or not as I have only captured one, all others are a complete passthrough, but most every time they fall within eyesight, or give me a good trail to follow.

Been impressed with the eldx from 308. Everything I have shot with those has dropped in it's tracks. I have not hunted with my 270 in years, but loaded eldxs for it as well.

I recovered this one, went through near shoulder, recovered just under skin on the off side. Don't remember the retention off the top of my head, but it was very good, especially considering it went through shoulder bone. All the rest passed through.

I am moving my reloading equipment to a bigger room, came across 2 boxes of .270, and an MTM box with at least one more, probably Winchester silvertips, sticker came off. So I'll probably use my Win Mod 70 in .270 this season, at least for one deer, then I'll go to my .308 or 6.5 CM for another.
