Finally connected on a deer. Bow season here until Next Saturday. Hunted this evening for about 45 minutes. She came through and I shot at 20 yards. She jumped and walked to about 15 yards. I got the shakes and whiffed. She then laid down about 30 yards away chewing her cud. Couldn't get another shot. I waited about an hour as I didn't want to spook her climbing down. At dark, my wife drove the four wheeler back and the deer got IP and just walked off with a yearling. As we were searching for my 2 arrows, I found the second arrow, clean as a whistle, and my wife said "look at all of that blood!". Sure enough, the first arrow is covered in blood. It is a bit dark, though. Went and got a spotlight and my 11 year old daughter. We tracked and found her gloating 40 yards from another treestand. Not really great pictures, but she is a big old gal. Probably will dress around 120. Good evening! And my daughter is very observant and found some blood specks that I didn't see. That's my girl!
