I am sure a 22 inch 25-06 is accurate,,but IMO the 25-06 is at its best running 100 gr bullets at 3400 fps++,,a 120 at 3000 has no advantage over a 270 and the 100 from a short barrel is just maybe 50 fps better than a 243,,
I have shot over 5000 rounds and probably closer to 10,000 rounds of 25-06 as it was the only gun I owned from `78 through `89 and I still shoot them,,
across a chronie with a 22" you will be hard pressed to match the speeds the manuals list with a 24 inch,,with a 26 some loads are 200 and 250 fps faster than book data with 24 inch test barrels,,
if you just want a deer rifle you might not notice the difference,,but to get the performance the 25-06 is legendary for I will take a 26"
