Dropped Glock 20 in the toilet - don't bother asking. I emptied the magazine, disassembled, and did a thorough rinse under hot tap water. Everything is sitting on the warm air register. Anything I shouldn't have done or still need to do? I bought the damned thing because I was promised that it is indestructible (and it makes big BANG)!

Oil it good. During the 4th we went to my aunts house for the parade. Someone brought out some water balloons and I got soaked carrying my pistol. The stupid mag release button rusted up good and I had to disassemble and clean it good before it gave me trouble. Rest of it was fine.

Toilet water isnt going to hurt a glock, even if said toilet is full of #1 & #2 :lol: They see alot worse in combat operations and keep functioning. Clean it well, lubricate and keep going.

Just curious was this a S&W I have had the same problem with my Shield in the summer with sweat if I don't keep an eye on it.

As for your Glock it is fine once it is dried out to your liking just oil the the gun as you would normally.

Actually I was removing it to put on the shelf behind the John before I sat. If I was already sitting, I don't think it would have been a problem.

Do a complete break down.....wipe it down and leave it on the warmer for a good bit. Be sure it's completely dry before giving it a good cleaning/oiling and reassembling. It should be fine

I fell in crossing a shallow part of the lake last year during bow season. My Shield went all the way in the water and muck. Good cleaning and oiling, and it was as good as new.

Remember one thing. To much oil is a bad thing. Anything can happen I have had mine out n rain , under lake water yet to have problem. The one I carry I cerakoted . Probably have 15 to 20 glocks. Never had one jam misfire etc. Good cleaning lil drop oil on slide rail she ready rock !
