IMR white hot pellets worth changing to?

Any reason not to try these? If the IMR pellets have the least barrel fouling possible, then I am tempted to try them.

the fouling they leave is a lot softer than the T7 crud ring. Use a 777 primer and you shouldnt have any issues with a crud ring with the IMR pellets.

they suck not very consistant use blackhorn and wipe your worries away,easy loading very consistant,very little smoke,no crud ring,this is just my thoughts

Both me and my wife used them last year, I had used 777 before and liked it but I love the white hots, good power and out of our TC triumps the accuracy was great out to 175yds.

i did some field tests on them last year, and this is my opinion of them.

if i were hunting in 80 degree weather with low humidity, were going to shoot out the load daily, and were not planning to hunt when air moisture was above 45% humidity, then i would probably use them. i went back to 777 powder.

i have read and heard of other folks having the same problems with these pellets pulling moisture. a friend of mine left his in his loading box in his truck for a couple of days, and every pellet he fired failed. and the kicker is, it doesnt matter which primer you use. i tried a hot 209 primer and they still would not fire.

On the other hand, BH209 is one of the best for NOT drawing moisture. That's a big deal to me.

Wes, what's your opinion on BH209 maintaining it's potency from one year to the next if stored in a controlled environment???

Really don't have an opinion, but should have one in the coming weeks. Don't know any reason it wouldn't fare as well or better as any other powder. Will be shooting some left over from last year soon.

I've heard from friends that tried them they produce a crud ring similiar to 777. They are very consistent though so it's a trade off.

BH209 much better all around IMHO. To the question about storing BH209 I've just finished a bottle that I forgot I had and it was 3 years old. I fired three shots with it and three shots with new and they were all grouped together at about 2 inches at 100 yards.
