Anyone use imr 4831 loading for 30-06 with 150 gr pills? Any experience or advice to share? Books show it for the 06, and I just happen to have some, so...
I'm just trying to work with what I've got. I know I'd love to have some 4350, as it's been the most recommended by everyone I know and online as well...but, gotta try to use what I've got. What about Varget with the 150 gr's?

Like others have said 4831 is a little slow burning for 150 gr bullets but is great for the heavier ones.
My pet load in my 30-06 is 50 gr of IMR 4895 with 150 gr Hornadys.
I tried it one time in 7mm Rem Mag and it seemed a hair faster than IMR 4350,,it worked well just back off IMR data 2-3 grs and work up,,it has been a while and I lost that data when we moved but it seems like it shot about the same 2 grs lighter than IMR,,
I have used it with 180 grain bullets in 30-06 and 162 grain bullets in a 7 mag. It works great with heavier bullets. I haven't ever tried it with lighter bullets.
