For those whi may know.
Does imr 4350 need a magnum primer in a 30-06 to ignite or will a cci 300 large rifle (non-magnum) work well enough?

This. I've talked with guys who hunt with 300WSM rifles and use 4350 powders out in CO in extreme cold and they've advised me that they use LR primers with the 4350 powder and have no issues with ftf. The WSM is a short column case of powder tho as the 06 is a little longer, but the consensus is that a LRM primer isn't needed using 4350 powders from these guys.

I use full charges of I4350 over a CCI LR primer in my 30-06 and have never had an ftf.

I've used a fair amount of IMR4350 in both the 25-06 and 270 and have never used a magnum primer.

I think you meant to say CCI 200. CCI 200s will work fine.

There is a general rule of thumb: Over 60 grains use a magnum primer.

Speer Manual says no. Always go by what your manual says and you won't go wrong.
