IMR-4227 in Savage?

When I first bought my Savage years ago, I was told to use IMR 4227. This is also one of the powders that my owner's manual recommends. But, it seems nobody uses this powder these days. Are the other powders better? It's time for some new powder and I am thinking about changing. Any help is appreciated.
 
My savage likes IMR4759. Also have tried N110 but the IMR seems to shoot a little better.
 
When I got mine I asked Toby Brigdes about his test loads for the Barnes Expanders an Spit -Fire he suggested RL7 and IMR 4759 tried both seen and see no need to change form IMR-4759.

Note-
This was before he and they had a falling out.

Since no one gave you a strait answer. 4227 is no longer a recommended powder. From what I gather it's because of misfires. Other than that, it's a good powder but I wouldn't want to be having a misfire at crunch time.

I was shooting 5744 but to me it's a bit on the dirty side. I now shoot 4759 and love it. Only two powders I've tried so far. Hope that helps.
