Food Plots Imox

Just purchased some Imox to spay some clover plots, have always just used clethodim, do I need to add a surfactant or crop oil to this, and if so will be using a 4 gallon backpack sprayer, how much of each do I add, thanks for any advice.

Never used mix but a little label reading tells me this

1. 5 oz per acre at a 15 gallon rate
So you should use 4 tanks at 1.25 oz per fill up to spray 1 acre

2. It recommends a surfactant. I use a non ionic surfactant on clover at 1.5 oz per fill up also. If you use MSO (a little boost for the weeds to take it up faster) same rate

3. It warns to not use in hot weather which tells me if your clover is stressed don't use it!

Walking in herbicide with a back pack sprayer we all tend to over apply kind of like a flood tip. If this is the case reduce your chemical accordingly I;e if you require 6 fill ups per acre reduce your rate to 1 oz

I feel like a partly cloudy day will help reduce possible burning

No expert here but I've heard some say not to add surfactant to clethodium but I usually do and it's fine. I use 1 oz per gallon when it's NOT hot and dry.

Clethodim needs crop oil not surfactant.

Thanks for the help, planning on spraying this weekend, not terribly hot and a couple good rainy days next week should help. I use a non ionic surfactant in clethodim and seems to do the job, may even a some liquid ams to it too.
