SS tumblers have to rotate not vibrate. This is why you can build your own-milk jugs, soda bottles, Great big diameter PVC with a cap on one end and threaded cap on other is very popular.
Water, Dawn dishwashing liquid, and some citric acid is your bath. Dump the SS & brass, rotate for several hours.
Cleans inside, cleans outside, cleans primer pocket. Rinse thoroughly then dry in sunshine, use a fan, whatever. Don't put in clothes dryer. Don't use compressed air.
Only downside is the pins can get jammed in a case.....I understand this is rare.
The larger initial outlay is really not that much more than a decent vibratory tumbler and media. The real payoff is you don't have to pick media out of flash holes. A side benefit is you don't have to clean media dust out of your die sets.
As MUP illustrates you can turn very tarnished brass into signalling devices. SS pins are a handloaders dream
