A decent reel without breaking the bank suitable for 30/40 lb fish what would you buy? My good set-up went over board with a big rockfish on the other end but I can't afford to replace it right now. I got a eight ft ugly stik but need a reel, any suggestions?
 
Wouldn't make much difference. Just about any of the reels today in any given price range are about equal, take your pick.
 
walmart special 25 bucks I have 3 for 7 years and have caught several big fish.I have never had a problem
 
I have 2 Daiwa Exceller spinning reels the 3500 size I use for catfish and rockfish. They are around $ 80.00
