If you could have any shotgun ever made, what would it be???
I have mine as I have several Browning A5. Just board and wondered what yall like.

I would agree- as I haven't added one of those to my collection yet.

I've got 5 or 6 other great SG's but there's just something about those A5's.

The Mossberg 590 A1's are also pretty sweet.

probably an authentic WW1 "trench broom" with the bayonet.... that would be neat, or a cut down Remington 11? whatever John Dillinger had... I kinda like history/historical items. other than that probably my dad's that my brother sold in his saga of substance abuse, honestly rather have those but I know they're long gone

I think shotguns can be maybe more situation specific than rifles or as generic as you want too. For turkeys 28G SBE3 24" barrel. Doves Belgium A5 20G 26" barrel with full choke. Ducks SBE 1 26" barrel. If you made me pick one right now to use for the rest of my life. Old Wingmaster 870 (not the corncob) 12G with the silver flipper 28" full choke no rib. The single most dependable shotgun ever made IMO and man do they sound good when you rack one in the barrel. You could take that gun and realistically do everything a shotgun could be needed for.

Now if you said just could have one for the heck of it. I'd like to have one of those Italian $100k O/U's. I'd just love to know if they could possibly shoot better or if it's all just looks.

I wouldn't mind having my brother's (formerly our grandfather's) 16ga. I believe it's an Ithaca (n. ith-uh-ka ) but not sure which model.

We had a skeet shoot a couple weeks ago with the guys at church. One of them had an old pump that ejected out the bottom, corn cob forearm. He said it was a wingmaster, but I can't find any that ejected out the bottom. So I'm a bit confused as to what it was. At some point, I'd probably over pay for one

The Ithicas are the only ones that I remember ejecting out the bottom.

Years ago my boss's Son got into trouble and the cops were coming to take him in. I'm not sure the details on it, but somehow one of those Ithica shotguns got left out in the woods near their house. A few months later he went back out there and found it. He gave it to me, said it was probably trash. I checked right away when he handed it to me and it was still loaded with buckshot.

It was in awful shape, I used a wire wheel, and steel wool, soaking in various rust removers, and got it looking pretty decent after awhile. I even reapplied a cold-blue to the areas as needed.

When my boss learned of it, he explained that the gun was his, and had been his father's- of course he wanted it back. I just charged him $40 for all the work I'd done on it and gave it back. It was one of those model 37's.

Upon further googling, it could have been, but I'm leaning more towards the Ithaca. I'll ask him when I see what it was. It was a cool shotgun that just caught my eye. I've a bunch of shotguns that I'll never shoot, but being heirlooms they'll stay put up.

Well the other day I asked myself this question and decided on the Beretta a300 ultima patrol so I bought one
I watched a couple videos people running through like seven or eight shells in 1.14 seconds or some insane super short amount of time I said Man I got to get me one of those

Those are the only 2 bottom eject pumps I'm aware of. I've heard the bps is a bear to break down and reassemble.

Remington tried to build a bottom eject auto loader but it wasn't very successful

As many have noted here already the Browning A-5 and the Ithaca 37 are excellent I have 2 A-5's and 4 model 37's.

I reckon a really nice English double in 16 gauge would tickle my fancy as well.

My dad passed away 8 years ago and his brother who is almost 90 is suffering from dementia. They bought 'matching' shotguns at about the same time way back in their teens. My dad bought a Model 11 and his brother bought an A5.

The Model 11 was likely very used when my dad bought it and it was never in great shape but it was the first gun I really ever hunted with. Somehow my sister ended up with it....I've asked her if I can buy it but her husband threw out some crazy number like $1000....so I passed.

Before my uncle started suffering from dementia, he asked me whatever happened to my dad's Model 11.

I told him the story and he said, "hang on".... he went back into his bedroom and brought back the A5 and 2 barrels which are all in near mint condition, and gave them to me!

I'll keep trying to secure the Model 11 as well.....
