Do Saturday morning, what they did this morning, I will never get to my stand. Just after daylight, I had seven feeding in the back yard, less than 30-yards from my back door. And it is perfectly legal for me to shoot there. And, I probably would shoot one. Then, go to the woods.

Same situation at my place. The front porch is one of the best places to shoot a doe. Not much for proper "deer hunting' atmosphere but for ease and getting meat, it can't be beat. :) I shot one last year from the back side of the house while still standing inside the washing room. I was headed for the woods but saw 7 does in the pasture as soon as I cracked the back door. Couldn't resist that. The entire "hunt" lasted less than 1 minute.

the house makes the best ground blind. I shot a doe using the screened in porch as the blind last year.
