Got him a new 835 and a comp-n-choke.
Shave the stock just a bit and added some Federal Flite Control 3" number 5's.
25 yards and his first shot ever with a 12 gauge.
Went ahead and started him out right on the ammo.
Figure if he is stepping up to a 12 he might as well get the advantage of one.
I know about bad shooting habits and recoil shy shooters. The kid started shooting a 7 rem mag at 10 years old, on his own accord.
Anyway, here is his target from 25 yards.
I think he aimed just a tad high because the thick pattern on the head continued above the target. Should be good to go, unless he misses.
