The first time I came to this board after setting Cecil up with his first smokeless gun....there wasn't a smokeless section at all...you could tell there was lots of lurkers and interest...but look at you now! lol You guys are flat rolling down the smokeless trail now!

I remember those as well. I just chose to sit back and forever hold my peace on that one. ;)
 
It's Tar ' s fault for all the money spent on smokless guns in TN.. LOL Forward all your wives complaints to him..

I sure do remember! And you are welcome! I have helped countless guys over the years and it is very satisfying to me to get them over the "pucker" factor of pulling the trigger on a smokeless gun and getting the bugs worked out and killing deer! .... :D
 
Tar12-After killing my biggest buck (then) to date last year at 320 yards with the load you recommended, I killed a nice TN 8 point this year at 160 yards and a buck that was 22" better than my previous best at 175 yards in OH.

Nice! Was N120 involved? The confidence that smokeless brings to the table{literally...lol) is priceless!
 
Yes, 60g with Barnes Original 300g

I can't group AS tight as I could with the 4198 and SSTs., but misfires are a thing of the past. Should I try 58 and see if it groups any tighter?

You sure can. It is not written in stone that 60 grns is the only answer.There is a sweet spot in every load.You will know when you enter that spot and when you leave it as your groups will tighten then open. I good replacement for the N120 is 63-65 grns of R7 if the need arises....
