Bad luck happens but it could be worse walking around grunting without any orange on, just saying.
I don't even go move a stand, check a camera, or leave camp without my required orange on, even on a private lease.

I hear ya. This is right behind my house on private property.

I actually did have an orange hat on, and the front of the hoodie has orange sewn into it.

I could see how it might be a concern from that picture, so I deleted it just to not distract.

I always wear orange, although I believe that is covered by the land owner exemption.

I was just expressing my concern, private property or not doesn't keep someone from trespassing. Nothing worse than a trigger happy trespasser waiting to shoot something.

I would hunt right there as much as possible. Your scent obviously didn't bother him too much.

This time of year I don't know that I'd be coming down at 9:00.

I agree and would love to sit longer, but sometimes 9 am is all my back and butt can take. when i start to get really uncomfortable and moving around, I get down. I have an extra cushion on my stands, but they don;t do a whole lot to help. In a perfect world all my ladder stands would be as comfortable as my Summit Viper and I could sit till 11 am or so.

my advice for hunting him is just sit in the stand for as long as you can, in that area with the right wind of course.
