I spent May 3rd-7th up there. We had some good days and some bad ones, but as always its an awesome place to fish. We had 4 fish over 4lbs that week.

i used to hate it but i am slowly getting better everytime i go

i just started fishing it a couple of years ago and went from not even getting a bite to catching one or two and i finally won a tournament up there 2 weeks ago with 13lbs and got big fish with a 4lb 4oz largemouth now if i can just find out how to catch a 21" smallie i'll be in good shape, all the ones i seem to catch are 19" to 20"

congrats on the good fish

i go up to dale hollow about 3 times a year and can't seem to catch to many smallmouths. Anybody want to share some tips on how i can get a few in the boat? baits, techniques, etc..?

Winter(Dec-March): jigs and Float-n-Fly

Spring(April-June): grubs (chart, smoke, or watermelon), swimbaits

Summer(June-Sept): Night fish with black, black/blue, or black/red hair jigs, same color spinnerbaits. Dont waste your time trying to fish in the day during this part of the year.

Fall(Oct-Dec): jigs, I prfer rubber jigs in natural colors. heavy football head jigs also do well
