I have two problems

#1-I got a 50mm scope for my m77 ruger and it won't work with my ruger rings.Should i get high ruger rings?Or are there spacers or something available?


#2-I finally decided to put a scope on my old browning bar,and the two back screws for the base's are just a hair to long fully tightened.How should i shorten them without messing up threads?

#2 are the rear screws longer than the front screws, if they are switch em and see if they fit better. some base sets have different length screws in the same pack. if not take a Rosie O'Donnell file to it, and round the last thread when you are done with the length.
