My CVA Optima groups great at 100 yards, like within 1 inch groups, all day. (last year)
But I have to clean the MZ all the way down to the breach plug everytime.

I dont mind doing it, couse the frst shot counts right? I always reload in the stand before cleaning becouse you never know when you need a second shot. The second shot usually isnt bad, within 3 inches but still, I'm funny that way.
Is this normal?
Im using triple 7 and 223 gr Power Belts, it loves it

I shoot 100 grains (2 pellets 777) and the 295gr powerbelt. I shoot 3" groups consistantly at 100 yards, but have to swab with a mildly damp patch every 3rd shot. If not the 4th shot will be about an inch lower than the others. I have 2 friends who have optimas, and we all shoot the same load. I have always heard that each gun (even the same models)will shoot differently and you have to find out what's right for your gun, but this load shoots exactly the same in all 3 guns. I consider 3" groups plenty good enough, but if you're wanting better than that I'd say swabbing between every shot might be a requirement

Maybe - Maybe Not

Could be normal for your ML or a Combo of it and the Load your using. Might want to play with differnt combos and see what happens.

I quit using777 and went to blackhorn 209. My groups are MUCH mor consistent and tighter. The blackhorn is nowhere near as corrosive and doesn't foul my barrel like the 777!if you tried it, you wouldn't believe what you've been missing!
