I hate Turtles!!

ran trot lines on my lake this weekend, fish caught=0, turtles caught=14....wish i knew where to put the lines where i can find the cats and not the turtles....any suggestions?

What was you using for bait?With that many turtles caught you may not have any fish left to catch.

was using some old chicken cut into chunks, I know it had cats in it a few years ago and all the other fish seem to be getting along just fine. I've been trying for 2 yrs now to catch a cat out of there and still nothing but turtles. on past lines i've used liver, catfish bait, cheese soaked bait, etc.

any ideas on bait/depth that might help get me on track?...never dreamed it would be this hard to catch a catfish.

I cant stand turtles whether I be catfishing with cut bait or grass carp fishing with white bread, they are always there to swim up and eat your bait, ugly little bass turds.
