Let me start by saying i hate young does!! Haha. No in all seriousness, set up on a small secluded plot with an oak ridge that runs around it. Monday at last light, i had a really good deer and a smaller one come out of this plot. So Tueaday afternoon i went all Turkey Thug mode and hunkered down by an oak in my turkey chair and waited. The show started at 420. Forst does filtered in and were contempt while feeding. Then here came the rug rats. 3 older does along with 4 smaller yearling does. All deer were within 70 yrds. Older does kept checking wind which was hitting me right in rhe face. I could see the tops of the cane on ridge swaying like something was going through them. I though here they come, i just had that feeling you know. Well the yearlings were playing and licking and one took off running with another chasing. That got the whole group on edge and before long they trotted right back the way they came towards the cane. Never saw another deer the rest of the afternoon. Anyone else ever have some youngsters bust up your hunt for no apparent reason?
