I had a dream...

Dreams do come true :)

In my case, I sure hope not! My dreams are usually my mind playing out its worst fears and frustrations. My "deer hunting dreams" are usually an unending string of everything that could go wrong going wrong! :(

Oh I've had those too Bryan! The one recurring dream, at least for years it did, was having a gnarly non typ walking thru the woods at about 80 yds, and I could never get the shot on it, and then realizing it was gone....

Mine are always: I can't find my stand, I overslept, I forgot my gun, I forgot to load my gun, the gun won't fire, the scope falls off...

How about a limb falling off the tree you were in and hitting you on the head, just as you were about to pull the trigger on a 120" 8pt? Yea, that actually happened to me, a REAL nightmare! :o

I have saw many big bucks in my dreams and had a good clean shot. The only problem is no matter how hard I pulled the trigger, checked safety, etc., it wouldn't pull or go off.

Only time I ever dreamed with a deer: I headshot a doe and missed, just tore her up. She ran in circles bawling and then took off up the logging trail. When she stopped I killed her.

Heard that bawling for a long time in my dreams. No more headshots since then.

I didn't know you hunted so close to me. I passed that deer up and it walked across the line and i heard a shot go off. Dang meat hunters, let them grow :D

JK. I am more than ready for season to start!

Im The hero big buck killer in my own dreams lol. I have these dreams year round and especially during hunting season when I find a new area (usually an unproductive one) I seem to find a honey hole located just passed where I was in an unexplored pocket next to where I was (every time has beeb false hope) lol. Gettin hot in Afghaniland but still hop in to make it back in time to get some good hunting in. Hope all had a good turkey season

This is my type of dreams concerning deer hunting .Shooting deer that just will not die , going up to a downed monster only to have his antlers start to melt  Weird dreams when it comes to hunting bucks !

I wonder what it says about a person's personality whether they have "greatest hopes" dreams or "worst fears" dreams most often? Without question my dreams are almost always my mind playing out its worst fears.

Mine are usually that I can't draw my bow or can't get an arrow nocked.Guess that's why you gave up bow hunting BSK so that you could get some sleep :D

Yup. Just too many extra problems to dream about! ;)

Wait a minute; all those bad things really did happen to me when I used to bow hunt... :(

It's been years since I've dreamed of deer or deer hunting but earlier on I had plenty. Now my dreams are almost absurd and make absolutely no since. I don't even think the sifi channels can come up with stuff like I dream. The problem I have is that if I wake from a dream I an remember everything about it and I plan on reminding myself to tell the wife about it in the morning. All I can remember in the morning is having a dream after I wake up and remembering I was going to tell the wife about it, but I can't recall the first bit of it.

Must be age Mike, as I have the same experience. First, I don't dream about deer hunting as much as I did when I was younger, probably because it is not the focus of my existence like it used to be. Second, my dreams get crazier as I get older. And lastly, I can't remember them as long. All I remember in the morning is that I had a terrible and confusing dream, although what it was about I can't recall.
