I got mowed...

I consider this a personal insult too. I gave them free reign over the cover crop all winter- wheat, clover, and turnips, and not a single visit that I could see. Crowder peas mixed in the green peas is a delicacy in my house, and apparently for the deer as well. Strange as it seems, I usually get 1 drive by from the deer each year, never to see them again the rest of the season. Hopefully this trend holds.

when we are in a drought like we are in my area, it makes deer and squirrels that much worse. at least they havent got into my beefsteaks yet and i just took down my deer repellent rope, guess it will go back up.

I am stuck in a subdivision...I think the neighbor dogs are the only thing keeping them at bay. Winter before last I had 3 does that regularly hit my cover crop and came home one evening to a nice 8 pointer back there.
