"I don't fish ugly places"; that's short for "Fishing was mediocre at best, but what can you expect when the streams have whipped to death for the past 3 days, but I'm dang glad I went."
I was ready to get out of the house today, so I arranged to meet a buddy on the stream around 3:30 today. I thought waiting until afternoon would give the tourists a good chance to get out of Dodge and make stream access easy. I was wrong. They were everywhere.
I hate roads in wild places, but even the road isn't ugly.
Once there, I found Bob's car and walked downstream to meet him. We split up with me heading downstream.
I did catch a couple fish before meeting back up with Bob.
"Hello, hello, anybody there."
After fishing awhile, we met back up and headed up stream a ways. Bob had a better start than me and just needed another fish for a double digit day. I usually never keep count of fish and usually loose track after 3, but I know I was nowhere close to 10.
I picked a good little stretch to fish and hopped in.
Did I mention that I don't fish ugly places.
Not ugly.
Heck, even the fish I catch aren't ugly.
I ended up having a pretty good day. Now it's time to pour me a glass of some brown liquid and relax.
