I WAS having a hard time seeing my scale. I got to tinkering in the shed today and fixed that little problem. Its a small webcam no one was using, piece of 2x4, a piece of 1/4 in. rubber mat, 1 2in. bolt that screws into the tripod mount and a nut. I left a hole in the bottom to get to the bolt head so I can adjust it if I ever need to. I also drilled 4 holes in the 2x4 and dropped in 8 lead balls for weight before I glued the rubber on the bottom.





 
Yes that is a very good solution.

I will have to do something similar. I have a beater lap top or two that is gathering dust, should be the perfect candidate. Thanks
