My 7mm STW is on at 600 and 750. Bring on the cornfields! I got the firepower. The Sendero wants to eat.

Heck yeah! What kind of load are you shooting?

162 grain ELD-X over 75.6 grains of H1000. Actually a mild load for the 7mm STW at 3050 FPS but it's got more than enough energy for whitetail well beyond the 1000 yard mark which I would never shoot that far. 7mm STW brass is hard to come by so I keep my loads conservative to extend brass life.

That's awesome man !
I had one of those and "something" was wrong with it from the factory.
Bolt wouldn't close unless you REALLY pushed down hard.
Carried it to a Remington certified gunsmith and he said the firing pin was too long ????
It did work "better" after that but I was never satisfied with it.
Sold it after a few hunts.
I loved that caliber !

Yeah if I start to load hotter loads the bolt opens but won't pull back. Primary extraction issue. There are some shoddy QC guns from Remington floating around.

I guess UTGrad traded in that 30-30. Your gonna love the STW. I loaded 80.5 gr H1000 with 160's for 3180 fps, but my favorite long range load 81.5 IMR7828 under 140 Accubond running 3400 fps.
I bought Rugers Sendero STW, and he forgot to mention the bolt issue...lol

I never knew there was anything wrong, so it could not have been much to it.
I would have lost that bet because I swear I thought I went into a full description of everything about it.
Took it to Paducah Shooters and they "fixed" it before I sold it but I just never liked it after that.
Glad it never gave you any trouble.
