Hypothetical question?

Most hunting dogs seem to smell better when it is cooler and damp and not so good when it's hot and dry. Do you think deer are the same? If so should we be paying attention to humidity levels and maybe hunting some questionable stands acording to the wind to maximize our oprutunities in the field.

That would make sense to me, if I am not mistaken, deer have much better noses than dogs.

I know what you are talking about, but the way I look at it. Hot, windy, humidity, raining or snow, you cant kill if you are not in the woods hunting. What I do is I have those spots that I only hunt when I am going to sit a while. The others is a stalk and hunt area, where I can walk a good distance on ridges, swamps and other areas.

My point is just hunt, good luck
