Maybe I don't watch the news as often as most but how do you feel the LACK of Hurricanes/ Tropical Despressions has affected our weather with the dry conditions?

Actually, only having two named storms by the end of July is normal. Tropical system development generally explodes in August and peaks in September. But historically there have been more hurricanes in October than August.

Reckon a good tropical storm could blow through here around Sept. 15 and rain for a few hours, realllll hard? lol
