Any ideas for someone who is short and stocky being 5'9" and 200 lbs? Just starting to get into duck hunting and would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

If you are going to be doing a lot of walk-in spots, you might go a step down in the insulation rating. If you are going to be hunting out of a boat or unheated blind where you will do more sitting and waiting, then go with the 1600 gram insulation.
The way I see it, you can always add layers, but if the waders are too hot it's hard to get any cooler :)

Agree. I have 3 pair. Have had several. Imo academy game winner waders are by far best for the money. They have outlasted all other brand's I have had by 2 or 3 yrs. And I took a pair back that started leaking after 3 yrs. I asked if they prorated because I was told they did. The guy said we don't pro rate but go back and get a new pair. No questions asked.
