What is the best hunting soap on the market?

I like the Dead Downwind bar soap. It lathers great and I've had better success being very close to deer without getting busted while using it than I have other brands. This past weekend I had 3 does and an 8 pointer walk within 10 yards of me and never knew I was there. However with that being said, I believe the hunting soaps help some at least in getting the perfume smells from regular soap and shampoo off but you still have to work the sent cone to your favor or they will still bust you.

I just buy the body wash. It is Hunter's Specialty or something. I think anything that is scent free and helps eliminate human odor will work.

My MIL gave me this thing called a buck puck for Christmas. I have been meaning to pull it out and use it. Is is a bar of soap shaped like a hockey puck that smells like dirt.... No I wouldn't have bought if I saw it, but she gave it to me as a stocking stuffer, so what the heck may as well use it.

Whatever the wife has bought ..most of the time it's Dial...I've been hunting for 50 plus years and have killed a bunch of deer and turkeys and i've never had one of them ask me what kind of soap or deodorant i was using...all i do is wash my hunting cloths in baking soda..."

DDW bar soap and a wash cloth will eliminate some serious arm pit stink. I'm impressed with it. I buy several bars when I find it on sale. I also use their shampoo.

irish spring and I wash my clothes in tide if you play the wind it really doesn't matter and if they get down wind it doesn't matter either because as much crap as the pros try to sell you its just that crap, you aint fooling a deers nose

Scent Killer bar soap and Scent Killer Gold sprayed on my clothes the night before and good to go. I have to currently hunt on the ground due to an injury right before bow season. I took a little buck last weekend at 30 yards downwind. Hunt the wind when you can BUT watch movement. The best scent control or camo will not work if they see you move.

Plain old fashioned lye goats milk soap. Better and easier on your skin and it's scent free and cheaper as well.

I wash my hair with scent free shampoo, but use regular unscented Dove or its generic equivalent bar soap. Go ahead and make fun of me, but my skin dries and cracks open in the winter

Dove sensitive soap and deodorant. Works great. Another secret....smoke your clothes. You think Native Americans did dances and bathed in smoke for no reason before a hunt?..... Cover scent! I put my clothes in a tupper ware and drill a hole and file it out to enlarge. Get a bee smoker and smoke into that hole and duct tape over it. Turn the container upside down and let it sit over night. I've only been busted a couple times since I've started this, and that's when I sweated pretty good.....

The concept of smoking one's clothes for a hunt has always interested me, but I've never been able to get myself to try it. Maybe one of these days.
