1. Hunting over a mineral block is legal UNLESS it also contains grain or other bait items mixed into the block.
2. Buckshot is illegal by state statute. It goes back to the days where it was closely associated with illegal deer dogging. There is also a safety factor associated with the spreading out of a pattern of large projectiles that would be deadly at some pretty long ranges.
