What's your hunting knife. I've used a Uncle Henry Sharpfinger for over 15 years I guess. Thinking about trying something different next year.

I carried a sharp finger for a long time. Great knives! I carry one I made now.

I always have a buck 110 in my pack...but i dress most of my deer with a fixed blade knife...
 
I have used a Browning Sportsman 3 blade for years.It has a 31/2" lock back knife,a gut hook blade,and a 31/2" saw.Great steel and you can field dress,quarter,and butcher with one knife.

I have a Gator Gerber,a Buck fixed blade and a Outdoor Edge Swing blade and use them all,great knives :tu:
 
My grandfather's Buck 110, Dad had it for many years before giving it to me when I started. I've never had a need to consider anything else, love that knife.
 
I carry a custom made fixed blade a friend made for me about 30 yrs ago. A 4" knife will do any and all work on a Whitetail deer.

A gerber bolt action exchange is what I normally carry. However Ive used everything from a high end custom to a broadhead blade at one time or another.

How in the world do you not lose that knife in the field? I set my knife down too much to have one that color!

I think mine is called ridge runner with gut hook! And a small case xx about six inches with fixed blade also and stacked leather handle. Would post pics but there in my truck!
 
One just like this. I bought it around 1979 in Cookeville. I've had others but prefer this one over them all. It sharpens easier and the big square handle is easier to grip when coated with blood. It's an Imperial Wildcat Skinner. Apparently there is still some demand for them because I always see used ones for sale on the internet. As far as I know it went out of production long ago.

Yep, they are great woods knife and awesome for skinning and quartering deer. I have the Randall Cutlery DPx (ESSE) that stays in my woods pack and has cleaned all my deer over the past 5 years.
