Hunting Iowa

With the opening of nonresident applications are there any guys planning to hunt Iowa this year or next? This will be my 4th season applying to zone 5 and plan on hunting the Sedan Bottoms.

I will be buying my 4th point. From what I'm seeing, I'll have to wait until next year to have a good chance of drawing.

Its a chunk of change of front to be placed in the bowl but if im not picked ill go into the 5th year with 4 points come 2021. 24 people drew with 3 preference points in 2019 so fingers crossed

I'll draw next year. Magical place that's for sure. I'm going to turkey hunt it next spring and hang cams while I'm there. Place was full of gobblers

That's exactly my plan is to turkey hunt next Spring prior to deer hunting. I bought a point for turkey this year to try to be sure I could draw.

I have not bought one, but pretty sure a buddy told me he bought a point few weeks back for $65 or so.

the point was 50 past 3 years but went up recently to 60 with 3-$4 fee

In total with preference points I got $825 tied up into my 4% chance to draw Iowa.

Use to be that you could figure on drawing a bow tag every 3 yrs. Not sure about now as I quit 4 yrs ago when they got hammered by EHD

Well I didn't draw Iowa so looks.like ill be in Either Ohio Indiana Missouri. With my refunded tag money or Illinois, missouri, Indiana. Which tags would you guys suggest.
