I have been talking to a friend of mine over the past week about some of the new products the huting world is coming up with. Such as carbon face mask that looks like like what drs wear to hide your breath.Along with several others. I dont buy into all this stuff but he does.Opinions?

In my opinion, 95% of the stuff out there is junk that it's much better at separating the money from your wallet than it is doing what it is advertised to do.

It's hard to believe that the acorn crunchers and deer view mirrors, etc. actually sell.

I went to Bass Pro today just to look around and for the first time ever I actually paid attention to some of the stuff in and around the scents aisle.

I felt dumber for being there.

The indians didnt have buck bombs, scent drags, or anything and its still amazing how they killed the animals they killed with a couple sticks..

Most hunting DVD's are entertaining but they are the biggest advertising medium besides hunting magazines out there. This stuff is what gets a lot of people to part with hard earned cash for things that are pretty much worthless in the REAL world. There is some good information in both if you can get through the B.S. first, but mostly it all leads to a sales pitch for something that you could do without.
If I were fortunate enough to have the "DEER FARMS" that most of these guys hunt, I could make most anything look like you couldn't live without it. Just my 2 cents!:)

The Indians didn't have the flight factor we do today either, they could walk to within 15 yds of most deer and other game. According to history anyway
