It varies between certain hunts, private land and WMAs.
All hunters under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 who is in position at all times to take immediate control of the hunting weapon.
At age 10, they are required to be Hunter Safety certified (unless hunting where they would be landowner exempt). If they aren't HS certified, they have to get the Apprentice exemption and, again, meet the adult/accompanied requirements.
All youths on the Young Sportsman hunt must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older who is always in position to take control of the hunting weapon.
All youths ages 6-16 hunting on a WMA must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older who is always in position to take immediate control of the hunting weapon.
