Anyone ever hunt in the southern portions of the Cherokee NF? I live west of Maryville and it is fairly close for me to get there. I was hiking over there yesterday and really like hunting the mountains but do like to see deer now and then when I'm hunting them. 
Did see a good size bear yesterday. Been seeing alot of bear sign of late - they're eating every berry they can find. Also saw a black and white goat. I was 3 miles off the road and it was at least 5 miles from the nearest house. A bit bizarre.
